When: Sunday July 7th, 2013 from 1:00pm til 4:00pm
Who: All geocachers are welcome!
What: Geocaching event, with the Cachey Awards and Karaoke!!
Why: Because it's fun!
How: With your GPS and a microphone
This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time and with some newly acquired geocaching friends, this is now going to become a reality.
This will be a typical restaurant event to get to know a lot of the cachers whose names you have seen in logbooks, but also to see a different side and to see other cachers outside of their comfort zone.
We will have karaoke all to ourselves for 3 hours, and there will be a chance to win some cool prizes if you are bold enough to try your hand at Geocaching Idol.
For those who cannot see themselves take the mike, there will be opportunities to purchase raffle tickets to get in on the fun.
I will also be holding my yearly Cachey Awards at this venue, so put this event on your watchlist to see this year's nominees and for any new developments.
A $5 fee, per geocaching ID, will be charged at registration, which will be used to cover the rental fee and offset some of the costs associated with hosting this event. I hope that this will not deter anyone from attending, as we will be having lots of prizes and a whole lot of unique fun!!
I have never seen a karaoke event and I do hope that you will come out to see how much fun it can be!!
