Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Paladin II Took

 

Paladin II Took (AB33–3034): Father of Peregrin Took, and "the Took" (head of the Took clan) and Thain of the Shire from 3015 until his death, Paladin owned and farmed lands around Whitwell, near Tuckborough. When Lotho Sackville-Baggins took over the Shire, Paladin, asThain, resisted him, and refused to acknowledge his rule. This led to skirmishing between the Tooks and Saruman's ruffians, who attempted to lay siege to the Tookland. When Merry and Pippin started their revolt, Paladin sent Pippin with 602 Tooks to aid in the Battle of Bywater.
