Geocache Description:

These Lord Of The Rings themed caches with a puzzle finale is our first attempt at a series. All should be easy finds of the ubiquitous mint tins but the terrain can be challenging with the obvious route between them being on some deep sandy tracks on sloping ground and the reaching of most caches involving some minor bush bashing.

You can blame the off-track bush bashing on that old grump, Lord Sauron, who insisted on the caches (combined with the existing Yaberoo 4 cache) forming the shape of his ever-watchful eye. For his treachery, Boromir got the worst treatment of all and is exiled in some prickly low scrub a fair way off the Yaberoo Budjara trail. We are hoping that the pure nature of Legolas will help to clean up his area which was a bit of a dump when we came through.

You might choose to bike around this series but there might be some hike-a-bike action in your near future. The downhills can be a lot of squirmy fun, but the uphills and the section parallel with The Great East Road (locally known as Wanneroo Road) - not so much. As a guide, in placing the caches we walked approximately 50 hobbit furlongs (locals would say 10 kilometres) in 2 hours. Taking hats, water, sunscreen and maybe some elvish wafers/Lembas is strongly recommended.

In each cache is a logbook and a laminated piece of a code containing the letters A through to I. Please BYO writing stick. When you have the value to use for all 9 letters, you have all you need to move on to the finale.
