Cricket has been played at the MCG since 1853 and this stadium is recognised as one of the best in the world.
Since its most recent re-building, completed in 2006, it has become a very comfortable venue with excellent views from every seat. If you have never attended a game here make sure that you do one day.
I would like to have secreted this cache inside the 'G', but that might have made it a bit hard to get too. I have however found an interesting place - just to the city side of the ‘G’ is an outdoor practice area completely surrounded by netting. When the cricket is happening here players will be seen practising in this area. What people often don’t know though is that they can also be seen at other times – including the middle of winter! Right beside the cache site is an indoor practice area behind glass, and you may well see players practicing from GZ.
The cache is a painted eclipse container. It is in a location that is reasonably hidden even at busy times.
