May 2013 - Note about cattle 'safety'
Cows are normally passive and indifferent to walkers but become protective when they have calves.
They are particularly nervous of dogs.
If you have a dog and feel threatened - let the dog go!
If you do not have a dog but feel threatened, try to be bold; do not panic. A stick can be handy as they recognize this as something familiar; many farmers use a stick as a herding/guiding tool.
Walk calmly through them keeping them in sight!
Bullocks are usually just curious but can be a little intimidating. Likewise bulls TEND to be indifferent, but should not be in fields traversed by a public footpath.

It was a bit of a haul to get up here; nothing extreme, but it made my legs ache.
The view was worth it. So I hope when you do this, it is a fine day and you can enjoy the wonderful vista, because this is what it's all about.
Why anyone would want to do this "in the dark" is quite beyond me, but it's all about freedom of choice.
In one of the rooms, the walls were blue
It was hidden so well that no one knew
It was just the place for taking in the view.

The View
There are a goodly number of fine caches within a 3/4 mile radius and it is a beautiful area to walk and explore!!
