9 Lives - Patches Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Skookum Bear: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities. If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current Geocaching guidelines.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

A micro attached to a guardian.

As you may have guessed by our geocaching name, we are cat people. We have shared our home with cats all of our married lives. They have been such a constant source of entertainment and wonder that we can’t imagine not having a cat or two to wait upon. The 9 Lives series is dedicated to the nine cats we’ve had the pleasure of living with over the past 35+ years. The series consists of:
Patches, Princess, Tiki,
Snoops, Gizmo, Stripe,
Asbach, Kelsa; and Spot.
There is a bonus cache, Snuffleupagus, who lived with us for a short time while we were posted to Germany. You need to get a number from eight of the nine 9 Lives caches to find Snuffles (the bonus cache).

Patches
Our first cat. Was the family pet, then became ours when we got married. She was a very pretty Tortoiseshell. We think she was the smartest of our cats also, with what seemed to be a diminishing IQ in all the following cats. When we were posted to Comox in the fall, she went to live out her final days back home in Windsor.

- A home without a cat is just a house.
- In the eyes of a cat, all things belong to cats.
- Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as Gods. Cats have never forgotten this.
