Mackie Lane
The cache is a hidden in a country lane near Shuttlesfield. It's unlikely that many people will have heard of it, but that's what Geocaching is about. It is always good to go somewhere you haven't been before and wouldn't have done without a cache to seek. I wanted to set up a series of caches to link the Church Micro at Paddlesworth with the Church Micro at Acrise. The country lanes are very pretty but also quite narrow. You may encounter the local farmer or soldiers on military manoeuvres as this is a Military of Defence training area.
This is easier to spot in the winter or after the hedge has been cut. The closest I could get when testing it out with with my phone GPS was 1 metre. You will need your own pen for this one and some sharp eyes to spot it when the hedge needs cutting. The cache is small and contained in a camo bag.Please make sure it is returned as you found it. Take care not to get scratched in the process.
