Geocache Description:

Welcome to Waynesboro's first Geocaching 101 Seminar!

New to geocaching and want to learn more?  Then this is the place for you.  Do you have friends who want to start geocaching?  Please bring them along!  The seminar will be held at the Waynesboro Public Library on Thursday, June 13th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  We will be using Multipurpose room A for the seminar, which is located on the lower level of the library.

Experienced in geocaching, but want to assist or meet other geocachers?  Then this is also the place to be. We will need some volunteers to act as tour guides for the beginners' small groups, please let us know in your attend logs if you are willing to help! 

We will cover a range of geocaching topics - from basic GPSr use to logging your first cache. We'll answer your questions and then we will head out and find a geocache or two to finish the event. The Waynesboro Parks and Rec department will have some loaner GPSr units available for the event, so you'll be able to guide yourselves to your first finds.

We will have a display of cache containers, geocoins, travel bugs, and more, so come check out what geocaching is all about!
