Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga was originally constructed in the 1930s as a boys' camp. Today, it is one of the most popular and family favorite waterside parks and campgrounds in Emmet County. The county maintains several hundred acres for year-round recreation. Nature trails, a swimming beach on Pickerel Lake and trout fishing are among the offerings for day and overnight guests. Facilities include a history museum, 90 campsites with electricity and water, modern restrooms and showers, seven rental cabins, playground equipment, and open field game areas. There is also a recreational hall/multi-use building for rent.
