Midworld (1975) is a science-fiction novel written by Alan Dean Foster. It is a world of vertical rain forest where the inhabitants have no commercial industry and live in harmony with nature. It shares a common theme with the popular movie AVATAR. It's an easy read and I recommend it. Good Luck!
