Geocache Description:

A group of cachers have gathered together to place caches along The Hertfordshire Way,  a 194 mile circular route along public rights-of-way within the County of Hertfordshire. Rather than caches at every 0.1 mile we have tried to put together interesting hides with cool bonus caches

Please take care when retrieving and hiding this cache as it's in a popular location - STEALTH IS REQUIRED
I found it really tricky to get accurate co-ords for this one as it's under tree cover...so if you find a more accurate reading please do let me know.

A small clip-lock box

This particular part of the leg has lots of other caches along the route - so make sure you check them out - this also explains why there may be larger gaps between this set of caches.

The most recent guidebook divides the route into 16 legs', each making up a comfortable day's walk of about 12 miles (shortest is 11, longest 15). The route has been chosen to pass through a variety of Hertfordshire scenery, mostly in open countryside but also passing through some of our more interesting and attractive villages. Hertford and St Albans, as the County Town and main historic centre respectively, are the only large towns on the route.
This leg, leg 5, takes the walker from historic St.Albans through the gorgeous village of Redbourn ending up in Markyate.

If you want to do leg 5 in a day you may want to park in St.Albans and then take a bus from one of the villages back again.
