As you may have guessed by our geocaching name, we are cat people. We have shared our home with cats all of our married lives. They have been such a constant source of entertainment and wonder that we can’t imagine not having a cat or two to wait upon. The 9 Lives series is dedicated to the nine cats we’ve had the pleasure of living with over the past 35+ years. The series consists of:
Patches, Princess, Tiki,
Snoops, Gizmo, Stripe,
Asbach, Kelsa; and Spot.
There is a bonus cache, Snuffleupagus, who lived with us for a short time while we were posted to Germany. You need to get a number from eight of the nine 9 Lives caches to find Snuffles (the bonus cache).
Kelsa
One of our two current house mates. Cats choose their people and this cat chose CuddlyKitten. To say this cat is spoiled would be a major understatement. She jumps on the garbage can in the kitchen when I first get up and squawks at me until I toss some cat treats for her. In the evening, she squeaks at CuddlyKitten until she gets her treats. She has her people well trained.
- The more people I meet, the more I like my cats.
-A cat can purr its way out of anything.
- It is a very inconvenient habit of kittens (Alice had once made the remark) that whatever you say to them, they…always…purr.
- Some people own cats and go on to lead normal lives.
