FTF For Everyone!!! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alchemeer: Yeah, I'm going to have let go of this favorite. Absolutely no more guardrail and not even a place to put a geocache at GZ anymore. I'll have to look for a new guardrail.

Geocache Description:

THIS CACHE IS AT OR VERY CLOSE BY THE POSTED COORDINATES!!!

Have you ever gone out in the middle of the night when a new cache is published? Your heart is racing, your brow is sweating, and then you make the coveted find! Only, nope, someone else beat you to the punch and signed it first only 15 minutes prior. Well, this cache is for every time a cacher gets out of the house for the FTF race and is only broken-hearted once they get there.

The coordinates will take you to the south end of the guardrail. Everyone who finds this cache must move it one support (wooden block) away from its hiding spot, moving away from the starting point (heading north, away from the interstate). This way, the next cacher who comes along will be the "First To Find" the cache in its new hiding spot.

The cache is a magnetic Altoids Smalls tin on a guardrail along the east side of Avenue 3E. There is plenty of room to pull off, so don't worry about traffic. Please note that the property east of the guard rail is privately owned, so don't venture too much further.

This is another version of a cache we saw in Henderson, Nevada (that was in turn modeled after a cache in Florida). We placed one in Reno, Nevada, but we figured since there are so many FTF hounds who live in Yuma (either year-round or seasonally), we should place one here, too. Thanks to B&BNV for the idea.

Every cacher who finds this cache must adhere to the following rules to log successfully:

1.) After finding this cache, replace it by moving it to the next support traveling away from the starting point.

2.) The cache container must remain placed on the guardrail. This is an easy find, and it should be for each respective cacher.

3.) You must sign the log with a FTF (please don't take up too much room on the log sheet).

Additionally, it isn't at all a requirement, but if you can express enthusiasm and maybe a smily or two in your log, it would help further the spirit of this cache.

Once this cache reaches the end of the guardrail, please return it to the starting point (posted coordinates). This is kind of a long guardrail so when the cache gets down towards the end it may take some looking to come up with the find. You can count the number of online logs and count the number of supports to get an idea of where the cache currently is when you look for it.

This is meant to be fun, so try to have fun!

A you+me_makes3 specialty item is the prize for anyone who wants it (we would suggest that the FTF gets the prize, but everyone is a FTFer on this one).
