This cache is large camo bison container. The initial contents are a log, a pencil, and a travel bug. Please do not disturb the 76 Union oil can located near this cache. I'd like everyone who visits this cache to enjoy this rusty relic as I did when I happened upon it. If anyone has an idea of what the age of the oil can might be, please make a note in the log.
Congrats to Gumby (Maxflex) for the FTF!
This is the first of many geocaches that I plan to hide in the Tok area. I wanted to start with something simple and easy, so I initially thought I'd place it somewhere around the nearby parking area. However, as I approached the parking area there was a large RV parked there for the night and I didn't want to do anything suspicious in their presence. So I drove on by thinking that I'd have to come back. But just a few hundred yards down the road, I saw a cool old 76 Union oil can wedged between two trees.
Tok was having an unusually late spring this particular year and there was knee deep snow in the ditch. Since I had originally planned to hide the cache near the parking area I was wearing shorts instead of pants. After hiding the cache, I got home and realized that my legs had multiple scratches and were bleeding in a few spots from the hard icy crust on the snow that I had to wade through with my bare legs. I almost named the cache "Bloody Legs", but thought the oil can namesake was more meaningful in the long run. Enjoy the cache!
