Only 31 miles to Fort Crown Point...only it's 1759 and your walking alone in a howling wilderness.
Firelock in hand you stride north. A lifetime of walking has prepared your muscles and sinew for a pace nearly a jog. Up and down the trail, over small streams. Had you started at dawn, by late afternoon you would be at the ferry landing across from the Fort. Today only elite atheletes could do it. 250 years ago...everyone was an elite athelete.
Follow the caches...have your evening meal at the Bridge Restaurant and then walk over the Bridge and tour the Fort Grounds...maybe not in winter:)!
