The basics:
Who: Geocachers and muggle friends welcome!
What: An overnight camping event for cachers from CVC, MAC, Mother Lode Cachers, even the GBA!
Where: Beardsley Reservoir Campground
When: June 22-23, 2013
The above posted coordinates are for the campground in general, you'll have to look for our vehicle(s) there.
This event will bring back to where geocaching is meant to be, the great outdoors! This event is an overnight campout so show up sometime in the evening on the 22nd and leave whenever you want! You can come for just the evening or the morning, or whatever the heck you want!
You will need to bring your own food and drink, though the stuff for s'mores might be provided(stay tuned for more details).
But the most important thing of all is to use this as an excuse to enjoy the great outdoors! Bring a fishing pole if you're properly licensed or a kayak or a hammock or whatever you find most relaxing!
There are 16 camp sites recently renovated, they are available on a first
come, first served basis. At this time there are no fees. There are toilet
facilities and possibly water (will post more information as the time of the
event gets closer).
There is no cellular service for AT&T user, but Verizon users will have
service at the campground.
Fishing has been good, but should be optimal during the event. Boating is
always excellent and the launch ramp will be open.
plantdude will be on site on Wednesday June 19th.
