Robert Louis Stevenson said it best in his book Treasure Island, when he said, "X marks the spot!" The influence of Treasure Island on popular perceptions of pirates is enormous, including treasure maps marked with an "X." In reality, most pirates were much more cunning in how they hid their treasures.

This journey takes you to a pine forest in South Windsor. Signs for an old nature trail can be seen throughout the forest. The above coordinates take you to a lock-n-lock containing directions to complete your journey. No math calculations or tree climbing are required. Unlike a pirate's treasure, this bounty is NOT buried.
