Here you find graves of German war prisoners from World War I (WWI). They are burried on the same burial site as their British guards, all infected by the Spanish Flu.
The German Kriegsgräberfürsorge maintains the Commonwealth War Graves as good as they can. Aus was also used as a prisoner-of-war campto detain German soldiers after they were captured by the South African army during WWI.
