A multi-cache with three way-points. You will have to walk up Vista Montana to find two clues which will guide you to the cache. The final cache is a mint tin. Total distance is roughly 1/2 mile with elevation changes of 150+ feet. Park on Newton St. for the safest pedestrian access to way-point 1 and a bonus 7 calories.
Way-point 1 is at the posted coordinates. I have hidden an object here. On this object I have written a number. This is the distance, in feet, from way-point 2 to the posted coordinates. Replace the object as found and start walking uphill. Don't cross the street. Don't step off the sidewalk.
(If you choose to drive, now is the time. You will have to drive past WP2, find parking at the top, and walk back down.)
(If you choose to walk, watch your head on the low wire.)
When your GPSr reads the correct distance from the posted coordinates, you are at way-point 2. I have hidden an object here. On this object I have written a number. This is the bearing, in degrees, from the final cache to the posted coordinates. Replace the object as found and continue walking uphill. Don't cross the street. Don't step off the sidewalk.
When your GPSr reads the correct bearing to the posted coordinates you are at the final location. There will be a few feet of leeway. The hide is a common type so good geo-sense should be enough to make the find. Good luck and happy caching!
