Geocache Description:


We are placing this cache to honor the youngest member of Team REAL WA who is currently battling lymphoma. Each letter of “REAL” represents the first letter in the name of the family members of Team REAL WA. The “WA” is an abbreviation for the home state of Team Real - Washington. The “A” signifies the name of the team member fighting cancer and receiving chemotherapy treatment through the oncology wing at Children’s Hospital, Seattle. “A” is a little dynamo with a huge heart and a fantastic smile! While the chemo has been doing some of the heavy lifting, it has been her positive attitude that has been the driving force. This is a little girl with a combination of physical strength, faith, and a “don’t look back” kind of mentality that has been amazing to watch. “A” has been dealing with treatments, trips to the hospital for tests, mad dashes back home to visit, and has also had to keep up on her school work. In between all of that, guess what? She learned how to geocache! So it seemed fitting to start a cache in her honor right here in her hometown. “A” has many interests and participates in a lot of different activities. However, this location was picked because she practices her favorite sport, gymnastics, at the nearby facility. Of course, the geocache was placed here with permission. A new first to find trackable has been placed inside the cache for the FTF!
