This cache was hidden especially for Orion and Son (and Daughter). You have given us many caches to find, so this one is for you! This is a micro, of sorts. All hail Orion and Son, king of FTFs!
This is the Blue Trail from Bennington to Bald Mountain. When I started caching, there were several caches from Woodford to Bald Mountain, but this lovely 4.5 mile trail had nothing. I enjoyed hiking this trail as a kid and so I hope adding these caches will encourage people to explore the Bennington side of Bald Mountain as well. This trail is not as steep as the Woodford side, but you will have to cross several streams and rocky areas, and travel twice the distance to reach the summit. Be warned, there are lots of slippery rocks and roots along this trail, especially when it is raining. Please watch your footing. All my caches along this trail (9 total) are winter-friendly. There are a few places for cars to park on the Bennington side of the mountain at 42.889887,-73.180734. I am happy to say that Orion and Son made the FTF on his tribute cache. TY Orion and Son for all the hides you have placed and advice you have given to a myself and other new cachers. You are a great man in a great community.
