Welcome to Medicine Hat! This is where it all begins. This event is the kickoff to your whirlwind of a weekend on Friday, August 16th, 2013 at 6:00pm but only lasts until 7:00pm. Plan to attend as this is where you will pick up your cache list and voting sheet. Plus, this is where you will be “Surprised” with other activities that will keep you hopping all weekend.
Tahoe_GR00 is excited to be hosting Amazing Race Medicine Hat. This event is a brand new addition to SAW 4 and starts Saturday, August 17 @ 8am -10am. Check out GC4BTBH for more details.
TDM22 will be hosting the SAW4 Midnight Crash for all the night owls who want to refuel on coffee, have a bite to eat and share some stories. Check out GC49W1B for more details.
Do you have a little “Pirate” in you? Navypeople will be hosting the Aye Matey – Flash Mob on Saturday, August 17th @ Noon. It is never a boring moment when they plan to “Surprise” muggles. The muggles won’t be disappointed and neither will you. Check out GC4C5CA for more details and co-ordinates to the secret location.
CARMH4 is referred to mostly as the “Main Event” in fact it is "The Main Event”. It will begin on Saturday, August 17th @7pm and where the fun continues to happen. Our hosts will be King.Tut and DSK11 and they will have a ton of door prizes, cache category prizes, special activities and a whole lot of food. Make sure to bring your Travel Bugs, Geocoins and Path Tags as you will want to show them off. While the food cooks and the votes are tallied, we will be kept entertained by our own Tahoe_GR00 who can really capture an audience’s attention. Check out GC4B043 for more details.
Once again this year, we have partnered with the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program. This event will take place on our very last day of SAW4 and will be held at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park. The MHIP is actively involved in the Geocaching world and promote programs to teach others how to correctly use a GPS and seek out the hidden cache. See GC4C5C7 for more details.
