Porten / The gate
Alvheim vannbehandlingsanlegg ble startet opp i 2009. Bygningene er flotte trebygninger med noen forseggjorte tørrmurer. Allikevel er det en ting jeg legger merke til hver gang jeg kjører forbi her og det er porten. Ved første øyekast vil en kanskje ikke tenke så mye over den, men hvis en stopper og tenker litt så er det mye som er galt. I mine øyne er den så dominerende at den tar fokus fra både anlegget og naturen rundt, men det hadde ikke vært et problem hvis den faktisk hadde en funksjon. Jeg har til dags dato aldri sett den lukket etter anleggstiden var over, og det er kanskje ikke så rart…….
Alvheim water treatment plant started up in 2009. The building are wooden with really nice dry walls. Despite this it is the gate I always notice when I drive by here. When you first see it you might not think too much about it, but if you stop and think about it you might notice that there are several things that are wrong. First of all I think it is too dominating that it takes the focus from the plant and the nature around it. But that would not have been a problem if it actually served a purpose. Since the plant opened I have never seen the gate closed, but that might not be so strange……
