We were given the GC code of an old archived cache that was set out by X-Treme GPS Team in 2004 and we were also told that the cache might still be there. We decided to give it a try but when we got to GZ there was no sign of the cache but there was a lot of debris from people dumping what looks like construction materials. The last time it was found was also back in Sept. of 2004 and it had already been archived then.
This is a cache to honor that old cache. If you want to have a look for this old cache yourself the GC code is GCK718. The cache page is still on Geocaching.com. If you have a pick-up truck and would like, you can make it a CITO. Anything you take out would make the area much nicer.
This a straight forward easy traditional cache in a camoed, larger regular sized cache container with lots of room for swag, travel bugs and coins. The road into this area is a little rough but can easily be driven with most vehicles with a fairly good clearance. Just take it slow and you will have no trouble. There is even a turnaround spot near the cache.
Please re-hide the cache well so that it can't be seen from the road.
