Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements.

Geocache Description:

Judge the beauty of this Texas Native Plants Garden. This is an easy drive-by with lots of fun kid items.

The Texas native plant highlighted here is found on a berm on the south side of the garden.  The attractive Skelton-leaf Goldeneye Viguiera stenoloba is a member of the sunflower family with deep-green finely-textured aromatic leaves. It forms mounds of bushy growth if cut back in the winter.  It has bright yellow flowers that will bloom from early summer until frost.  Many pollinators are also attracted to this plant.
Please take a look around at all the other wonderful Texas Native Plants in this garden, from the Dessert Willow trees to the 'Whirling Butterfly' Gaura along the street. While you are looking, take a photo, either of yourself or something in the garden and post it in the gallery. It will be nice to see lots of images through the seasons.  If you see something you’d like to know more about, there are information brochures in the mailbox. The garden is maintained by the North Central Texas Native Plant Society, Tarrant County Master Gardeners and Cross Timbers Master Naturalists.

Congrats to Tree Trekker on being the FTF!!
