While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

Geocache Description:

Nabolagscache på Skøyen!

Skøyen er et populært område, bestående av både boligbebyggelse og næringsvirksomhet. Skøyen ligger i bydel Ullern.
 
Skøyen terrasse-området består av Hoffsgrenda borettslag og Skøyen terrasse boligsameie. Hoffsgrenda er et OBOS-borettslag bestående av ti terrasseblokker med til sammen 316 leiligheter, og er de ti første blokkene man kommer til når man går oppover fra Skøyen stasjon. Øverst ligger boligsameiet, med seks blokker og 114 leiligheter. I tillegg ligger både Øvre/Nedre Silkestrå og Casinetto i nærområdet, samt eneboliger, rekkehus og mindre leilighetsbygg.
 
Det er forholdsvis mange store leiligheter i blokkene, og derfor har mange familier bosatt seg her. Området er også populært  blant godt voksne som flytter fra hus. Også naturen (Frognerparken og Den engelske park i umiddelbar nærhet og Bygdøy et par steinkast unna) kombinert med nærhet til sentrum og mange butikker i området, gjør stedet attraktivt for mange.
 
Blokkene er fra første halvdel av 80-tallet, og er oppført av Selvaagbygg AS. Leilighetsbyggene har et veldig typisk utseende for Selvaag, og kan finnes igjen mange plasser i Oslo, blant annet i Groruddalen.
 
Boksen inneholder fra start loggbok, blyant og noen bytteting.

Det er mye folk i området hele dagen, så se opp for mugglere.

Skøyen is a popular area in Oslo for both living and working. The Skøyen terrasse area consists of a total of 16 apartment buildings and 430 apartments. Many of the apartments are rather large, attracting both families and those switching from a large house to an apartment. The neighborhood includes close proximity to public parks and the sea, as well as to downtown Oslo. The buildings are from the early 80’s, and are typical for this entrepreneur – the same style can be found several places around the city.
