The Glass Factory Traditional Cache
susans ghost: After I was alerted to and archiving another cache, I thought I would check up on this one. No where to be found. Since they are building condos where the factory was, I will archive it. :)

The year was 1895. The Police had just discovered a building that H.H. Holmes, one of America’s first documented serial killers, had said he used as a glass bending factory (or as we like to think – a body dump).
In this ‘factory’ Police found a furnace large enough to be used for cremation. While looking for additional clues they found personal effects belonging to Minnie Williams, one of Holmes’ wives (who had mysteriously disappeared, along with her sister, Anna). In addition, Police ran across physical evidence directly linked to ABC Copier Company. Holmes had operated this Copier company in Chicago’s Loop.
Today nobody knows the exact location of the Glass Factory. At the time the newspapers did not document the precise location and now we can only speculate.
This suspected location of the Glass Factory is very near to the Wrightwood Street Apartment that Holmes rented for Minnie. It is also near Frank Wilde’s Fruit and Candy store – Police believe that Holmes used Frank Wilde as one of his many alias.
Is this cache location the actual spot that the infamous Glass Factory stood?
When you find this cache scan the QR code and, also, compare the map drawn up in 1914 – twenty years after the fact - (included in the cache) to the area you are viewing. Then, you be the judge!
