Geocache Description:

The cache is located outside of the cemetery.  Please replace as found.

Enid is the 9th largest city in Oklahoma with a population in 2010 at 49,379.  It's named after ENID, a character in Alfred, Lord Tennyson's Idylls of the King.  Enid is the wheat capital of the U.S., having the 3rd largest grain storage capacity in the world.

MEMORIAL PARK north of Enid was established in 1928 as a place of peacce and quiet.  Being totally non-profit and completely independent, it is the oldest cemetery in Oklahoma dedicated to the use of dignified grass level grave markers, giving an uncluttered view of the landscape.  Here is one of the largest collections of religious art in Oklahoma, with hand carved Italian Cararra marble statues.

This CO's parents and other family members are at rest here.
