Geocache Description:

This site is an example of one of Saskatchewan's most important industrial minerals - gravel. Extraction of this mineral employs a few hundred people province wide. In excess of ten million tonnes are produced annually with a value in excess of fifty million dollars. Most of the sand and gravel produced by Saskatchewan is used in the province, primarily in road construction, but also in the production of concrete and asphalt, as well as other uses. Like most gravel pits, this is a glacial outwash deposit. Congratulations to RiderWave on the FTF.
