The Great Southern Rail Trail, 49 km from Leongatha to Foster. Foster station closed in 1981. Train travel in South Gippsland was taken for granted as kids, special trips to the Melbourne Zoo or Melbourne Show. It was not until riding along the GSRT 40 years later to place these caches that I realised what a spectacular train trip this used to be, overlooking farmland, mountains and Wilson's Prom.
This section of the rail trail is a comfortable bikeride from Fish Creek to Foster. This cache is well camauflaged along the rail trail. You may need an extraction tool.
