GSRT Balast Traditional Cache
de ja vu: Due to changed life circumstances, and traveling to this area less often, we have reduced some of the caches that have required more regular maintenance. This cache has been removed.

The Great Southern Rail Trail, 49 km from Leongatha to Foster. Foster station closed in 1981. Train travel in South Gippsland was taken for granted as kids, special trips to the Melbourne Zoo or Melbourne Show. It was not until riding along the GSRT 40 years later to place these caches that I realised what a spectacular train trip this used to be, overlooking farmland, mountains and Wilson's Prom.
This section of the rail trail is a comfortable bike ride from Fish Creek to Foster, and at this point, not far from Prom road and Foster. You will need to leave the track for this one, but hopefully there will be no geo trail due to all the Balast. There is room for small swaps in this cache.
