FriendlyForager: It is with a touch of sadness that I must bring myself to archive this cache - the very first one I ever placed. I dropped by the general area to check out a small fiddlehead patch that I have picked in past years. Not only were there no fiddleheads, there were no bushes or trees save the big old apple tree that served as host to the cache! A bulldozer was busy carving out a new roadway and plots for the subdivision that has been under development for a few years. There aren't any homes yet but they can't be far behind. I returned in the evening to retrieve the ammo can when I figured the bulldozer operator had quit for the day. This cache will undoubtedly make a comeback in a new, wooded location as Freddy Beach really does need a TB hotel and this one had a great run. It was fun to read all the logs.
