Geocache Description:

The Arkansas Geocachers Association is sponsoring a Cache in Trash out (CITO) Event on Sunday June 9th at Burns Park in North Little Rock.

Come join in on the fun as we give back to our beautiful state and this fantastic park that has embraced geocaching in the area.  If you have never attended a CITO, feel free to come out (or camp with us on Saturday) and see how good it feels to help out and meet some of the folks who like to geocache as well.  Burns Park has a few areas that were hit hard with the December Ice Storm with lots of branches down. Their park is a bit shorthanded and has not been able to do the necessary cleanup for their group camping area and the area around it and that is where we will focus our efforts.

Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and we should conclude around noon. Trash bags will be provided, but gloves or other personal protective equipment is recommended. If you would like to bring any equipment such as a chain saw, loppers, hand saws, etc. feel free to do so.  We will have some park staff helping us but I am unsure if we are able to use their power equipment.

ArkGeo members who attend this event will receive 150 reward points.

NOTE: This is summer time in Arkansas.
Please remember to bring your insect repellent and sun screen.

The park has given us permission to camp in this area FREE
The fee has been waived because of our CITO efforts.
No reservations are required, but please let us know ahead of time
if you are planning on camping with us so we can send in a rough number to the Campground Manager.

We are also holding our Annual Meeting GC49ZYA at the Nature Center in the River Market Area. Please see the event page for more details.

The Campout/Hotdog roast will be held in the same location as the CITO and will be kicked off at about 7pm on Saturday night. Please see GC4C1QF for more details.
