You are looking for a black plastic 35mm film canister. Inside the container is the log and a strip of laminated paper with a nineteen-digit code. This container fits snugly into its hiding spot, please return it to its snug position.
So many cachers loved our “Those Meddling Kids” series that we wanted to bring back a similar set of caches for you to find. In the new “Mystery Incorporated” series, you will be looking for a code inside each of the character’s caches which will be needed for obtaining the coordinates and lock combination for the final bonus cache, "Mystery Incorporated - The Mystery Machine" (GC4C55R).
You will need a number that looks like this: (example only) 2,145,589,731,059,872,145
…write that number down from each cache in the series and replace the strip back into the container – each set of numbers is different from the others. When you have taken note of all six sets of numbers, calculate by simple addition to get your final set of numbers. Your answer will begin with “32”. The eighth, ninth, and tenth digits should be “096” – so now you can see (after disregarding the commas and placing the “N” and “W” appropriately) that you have a number that appears to be a set of coordinates; however, is a bit too long. The last four digits are the combination for the lock on the final bonus cache container. Go and enjoy!
Here are the names and GC #'s for rest of the traditional caches in this series...
Mystery Incorporated - Velma (GC4C2AH)
Mystery Incorporated - Fred (GC4C2W6)
Mystery Incorporated - Scrappy Doo (GC4C31Q)
Mystery Incorporated - Daphne (GC4C3MC)
Mystery Incorporated - Shaggy (GC4C44F)
**NOTE: for those who are working on the Mystery Incorporated series, soon all of those caches except for the Mystery Machine will be archived. I have devised a different concept for providing the coordinates and lock combination to the Mystery Machine and will be incorporating that as of July 01, 2014. So Fred, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy, and Daphne will be archived. Also at that same time, I will be turning the Mystery Machine into a premium members only cache. So if you are working on the series, you have until that time to complete it before it changes drastically and any incomplete numbers you’ve recorded will no longer get you to the final -- on the bright side however, the new caches will be more fabulous and the new concept to get you to the bonus cache will be more fun
so stay tuned.
SCOOBERT "SCOOBY" DOO
Scooby Doo and Shaggy Rogers share several personality traits, mostly being scared easily. But are encouraged to go after the costumed villains usually with "Scooby Snacks." Scooby has a speech impediment and tends to pronounce most words as if they begin with an "R", though most characters are able to understand him perfectly.
His catch phrase, usually howled at the end of every episode, is "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" or "Rooby-Rooby-Roo". He also usually says, at least once per episode, "Ruh-roh, Raggy" ("Uh-oh, Shaggy").
Scooby is brown from head to toe with several distinctive black spots on his upper body. He is generally a quadruped, but displays bipedal 'human' characteristics occasionally. Scooby also has opposable thumbs and can use his front paws like hands. He has a black nose and wears an off-yellow, diamond shaped-tagged blue collar with an "SD" (his initials) and has four toes on each foot and unlike other dogs, Scooby only has one pad on the sole of each of his feet (so that it was easier to draw in the Scooby-Doo Annuals). Scooby has a fully prehensile tail he can use to swing from or press buttons. Both his head and tail are malleable and useful as a communication aid or creating a distraction. He is purported to be 7 years old.
