Geocache Description:

This part of the park originally belonged to the lands around the house named St.Catherine's Park - The original priory house was built in the 13th century on each side of a small stream, which descended into the River Liffey. That house went through many changes & was burned to the ground and a new house – also called Saint Catherine’s Park – was built around 1798 to a design of Francis Johnston (also the architect of the GPO on O’Connell Street and Nelsons Pillar).

It was lived in by a succession of generals in the 19th century, and is now Leixlip Manor & Gardens.
This is a more mature area of the park - used for football matches and training.
Nice planting and benches are provided.

The caches are numbered to assist a cacher planning a route to nab them all. The route will start and end at the main car park.

They can of course be picked off individually.
