There's No Such Word as Alot Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

And Sister: Groundskeepers did indeed remove all of the trees in the area around GZ. As I'm not a fan of guardrail and LPC caches, particularly in wide open areas with 360 visibility, I'm archiving this cache rather than relocating it. But I hope it helped at least a few people remember there is no such word as "alot"!

Geocache Description:

A lot of geocachers like park & grabs a lot. A lot of geocachers dislike park & grabs a lot. If you prefer to go for a hike in the woods, allot your geocaching time to caching elsewhere! Please cover your tracks to this cache while snow is on the ground.

a lot: a considerable quantity or extent ("he's hidden a lot of caches"); to a considerable degree or extent ("we had a lot of fun caching today"); often or frequently ("we geocache a lot")
allot: to assign as a share or portion ("allot ten minutes to search for the cache"); to distribute by or as if by lot ("allot one cache per tenth of a mile")
alot: I can't give you a definition for this, because the dictionary doesn't have one. It may be a confusion, a mistake, or a humorous drawing, but it is definitely not a word.

This cache is in a lot. Specifically, it is in a commuter lot. That means a lot of muggles may be found here between the hours of 6:00-8:30 am and 4:00-6:30 pm, and you will have a lot of difficulty if you attempt this cache at those times. If you must attempt it during those hours, please allot your time accordingly and plan to use a lot of your best stealth moves. But frankly, it will be well nigh impossible without attracting a lot of undue muggle attention, so I strongly urge you to try it at other times instead. Also, logs on a cache that was here several years ago reference a lot of walkers taking exercise in this lot between 2:00-3:00 pm. You are looking for a camouflaged micro container. There is not a lot of room inside for anything other than the log, so do not expect to find a lot of swag here.

Even if this is not your favorite kind of cache, I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from the fact that Groundspeak will allot you one more smiley for finding it. And I hope this cache will help you remember that there's no such word as "alot".

Note: A sign at the entrance says this lot is under video surveillance, so remember to smile for the camera.

Congratulations to DifromCT, UConnFindIt, and Seebertrun on the co-FTF. (You're right, Di. I had a lot of confidence that those would be the names at the very top of the log!)
