This cache is about about a 5 mile ride out to a beautiful overlook of Chevelon Canyon. To visit is by horse back, foot, or bike.
This cache is the perfect resting place after a 5 mile hike or bike ride through ponderosa pine forest. The view is of Chevelon Canyon from a spot seldom visited except by non-motorized vehicles or on foot. It is a great place to get away from the noise of other areas and observe wildlife on the trek. We saw 2 groups of elk grazing and lots of animal sign including turkey tracks. The container is medium and has several items for children and adults. Please only non-motorized travel, as this area is closed by the Forest Service as a wildlife habitat area.
