Geocache Description:

Micro in a playground in Glenorchy!

This little town needs a cache!

The town was established around the "Four Posts Inn", opened in 1847 and within two years boasted a store, smithy and post office. The town was surveyed in 1850 by Robert Buchanan who named it after Glen Orchy in Scotland.
These days; Glenorchy is a small township of the Northern Grampians Shire and is a local service centre that supports the surrounding rural community, including a post office.
It offers the quiet country lifestyle while having close proximity to the commercial centre of Stawell. With historic buildings and a close knit community. Currenly populations sits under 100 people, some of these people use Glenorchy for a holiday house, a way to get away from melboune (just like myself),

This micro is located in a playground that is a wonderful place to bring the geokids!
Please becarful of wondering dogs much of the houses do not have fences, I have never come across of any agressive dogs, but they could have better road sense.

If you are short, bring a friend aong.
