Geocache Description:

A small cache hidden in Volz Park, atop Senior Mountain in Mahopac. This one is little more than a park-and-grab, requiring only a short bushwack through the woods from the parking area. While here, you also can seek the Tower of Terror (GC4C3N6). You might want to read that cache description -- and contemplate that cache name -- before setting out on your High Volzage quest.

I first found this place a few years ago, as a volunteer mapper for the National Map Corps. (Now defunct.) I remember many wrong turns before I finally found my way to the top of Senior Mountain. At the time, I did not have a GPS in my car that could compute turn-by-turn directions and then speak them to me, so I had to do it by trial-and-error. Finally, I unfolded a paper road map on the hood of the car, memorized the route and navigated the old-fashioned way. I've given the parking coordinates, so you can use technology to get to the starting point. Meanwhile, I am still trying to refold that old map so it will fit neatly into the glove box.
