Located near Cape Town, Fisherhaven is a small town in the Western Cape province, South Africa. It is situated next to the Bot Rivier Lagoon, close to Hermanus. There is an abundance of indigenous fauna and flora. Also a popular bird watching and holiday destination. Many water sports can be done in the lagoon. During WW2, Royal Air Force Squadron 262 established a diversion base at the lagoon and Consolidated PBY Catalina flying boats operated from here
