This cache lies within Kerelaw Glen and near the Stevenston Burn that runs through it. Kerelaw Castle's ruins are not far away and they link in nicely as Steven de Lockhart owned the castle in feudal times and named the town after himself. A relation named Simon did the same thing at Symington!
An old ford ran across the burn and can be made out because of the cobbled surface. Kerila is an older version of Kerelaw.
Park in the estate or on the back road. Probably best to approach this one by going through the old quarry area after walking across the open grass lawn with the long stretch of old wall. The way down is beside the huge Celtic maple or Sycamore. It's slippy. Lots of rubbish around I am afraid.
Its a clip top lunch box with the usual contents. Knowing your trees will help with this one!
