Geocache Description:

An easy walk and an easy find - with the youngest cachers in mind! From the eastern side of the Ferry Beach parking lot, past the showers and picnic tables, looking toward the golf course... during summer months a bit of stealth required - enjoy! (please re-hide so it is not accidentally found)

Be sure to pack a cache stash or swag bag to keep the trade-ables well supplied! toys for 4 to 14 year olds were initially stocked... a Travel Bug for the FTF prize! This stretch off R77 into Blackpoint Road is a line up of our all time favorite locations...this one is famous for its abundance of hermit crabs that the kids like to catch [and release] in the summer. BEWARE the cops on Blackpoint Rd are as feisty as the hermit crabs and the 25MPH speed limit is STRICTLY ENFORCED. If you don't plan to pack a blanket and a picnic and just want to grab and go, they stop collecting the parking fee after 5pm. This spot has one of the best sunset views around and is quite possibly THE MOST child-friendly beach I know of [bathrooms, showers, zero walking distance between parking and beach, warmer than typical water, minimal waves, clean, perfect sand, and of course, the feisty hermit crabs for catching] http://www.scarborough.me.us/documents/2011/2011generalbeachinfo.pdf
