Constructed in 1949, the Morris Olson Tunnel was once a pedestrian tunnel that allowed people to walk from Bayshore Blvd to the eastern flanks of Bernal Heights. It was replaced by a pedestrian overpass in 1968. This relic of San Francisco history is now walled off.
The cache is located near the end of the tunnel that you can't see. This end of the tunnel is (presumably) beyond a gate near the terminus of Faith Street at Holladay Avenue. A short walk across the pedestrian bridge will yield the exposed and walled off side of the tunnel. I did not put the cache on this side because there appears to be a homeless camp near GZ. However, there is major CITO opportunity here.
You are looking for an Altoids tin behind natural camouflage, The safest place for me to put it was high up, so bring a tall friend if necessary. The cache contains a log only; please bring a pen. Congrats to deadley for another FTF!! Good hunting!
