The Dublin Bay School District was organized in 1919. The school was built by Jim Wright of Winnipegosis at a cost of $4,791.00. The first teacher was paid a salary of $1,200.00 a year. The school was home to the farm kids in the area. In 1952 due to small enrollment the school was closed and the kids were transferred to Fairville School a few miles west. The Jabbywockyz family(Grandpa, Great Aunts and Great Uncle) attended this school.
In 1981 my Great Uncle Peter Kaleta built the cairn you see here today. It is a replica of the school building. My family moved to this area in 1908 and since then 4 generations were raised in the farms surrounding this school.
