The Burrows School District was organized formally in 1901, probably named for lumberman T. A. Burrows, and a one-room wood frame school building was erected on the southeast quarter of 18-24-19 west of the Principal Meridian, in the Rural Municipality of Dauphin. The district was dissolved in 1965 and the remaining students were bused to schools in Dauphin. The school building is no longer present at the site but monument commemorates it and is located at the intersection just north of this spot.
