Cette cache se mérite. Elle conviendra parfaitement à tout ceux qui aiment randonner dans le Haut-Var
Il faut compter entre 4h30 et 5h00 de marche en fonction de votre rythme. L’idéal sera de pique-niquer lorsque vous serez arrivés au belvédère, soit après avoir parcouru environ 8 km.
Le belvédère de Rancoumas se trouve à une altitude de 970m sur la rive gauche du Verdon. Il offre un super point de vue sur le sentier Martel qui serpente tout au fond des Gorges.(voir photo). Le départ se fait du PK de Trigance aux coordonnées N 43° 45.970’ et E 006°26.537’
Traversez le village à pieds comme indiqué sur le panneau (voir photo) puis empruntez le GR 49 balisage blanc et rouge vers Entreverges. Plus loin il vous faudra quitter le GR par la gauche avant les ruines d’Encastel. Les coordonnées Géoportail de cet endroit relevées sur la carte sont: N 43° 46' 254 et E 006° 24' 098.
Dans la descente franchir une barrière ONF, ne pas emprunter la piste sur la gauche portant la pancarte "Chemin sans issue" mais 100m plus loin le sentier qui, sur la gauche par une crête secondaire, rejoint le belvédère dit de Rancoumas. Vous êtes sur le territoire des vautours. Suivez votre GPS jusque la grotte pour trouver la cache, puis allez admirer la vue sur le Grand Canyon.
Voila, il ne vous reste plus qu'à faire le chemin inverse pour le retour. Bonne rando !

Autre circuit plus court mais aux pentes plus difficiles : Parking au point sublime, prendre le GR 49 qui commence à environ 300 m de là, sur la route de Castellane. Le GR mène au "Pont du Tusset" puis grimpe vers Rancoumas. A environ la moitié de la montée, on peut quitter le GR à droite pour aller directement à la grotte et au belvédère (c'est le seul autre chemin que vous rencontrerez et on le voit en pointillé sur la carte. La grotte est elle aussi indiquée. La randonnée est reprise sur Openrunner. Voici un autre site qui en parle:

Other shorter circuit but in the more difficult slopes: parking lot in the sublime point, to take the GR 49 which begins in approximately 300 m from there, on the road of Castellane. The GR leads to the " Bridge(Deck) of Tusset " then climbs(soars) towards Rancoumas.
