This cache is located near historic New Hope Church f/k/a Sandy Creek Church. Please be respectful and do not seek the cache during church services. Other than that muggles should not be a problem.
Sandy Creek Primitive Baptist Church was organized in 1824. The church was built on land that had been deeded by Elijah McMichael to the church for $10. Recently the church has been re-named New Hope. Sandy Creek Cemetery is just a short distance south of the church; it is one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in the county.
Also close to the cache is a benchmark and its witness post. Ever seen a witness post before?
