Geocache Description:

This cache is just off the Rail Trail. Park where the Trail crosses the Glebe Road.

You are looking for a large container that contains several small items for trading. There is a trail coming off the Rail Trail that will take you near the cache. If you follow this trail a little further you will come to a large sand dune. As I understand it, this was an ancient beach a few million years ago. Then a large set of volcanoes rose out of the sea and produced the north mountain. As the North and South mountains wore down by erosion the Annapolis Valley was created. This area also was the first home for Aldershot Army base. This was before it was moved to north of Kentville in 1904.
