Geocache Description:

Bøplassen i Sande

Bøplassen is a hidden, quiet little area in the middle of Sande. It offers a peaceful place to relax and serves also as a popular spot for the kids to play in from the local "barnehage".

In Bøplassen there is both a large shelter with a fireplace and benches for anybody to use

and a large "telthus" from 1785.

telthus photo telthus.jpg This "telthus", which once served as a military storage depot, was moved from Duni gård to Bøplassen in 1994 with the help of Anders Herlofsen, and now serves as an interesting piece of history.
