[ENG] NKT Vahastu fort hill belongs to the NKT cache series (Four Kings Road, in estonian Nelja Kuninga Tee - NKT).
Vahastu hill fort is the highest mountain in Türi parish. Legends told, that the was a town in old times. There is church in Vahastu village with pines around it. Legend tells, that it was a place of gatherings.Nobody was allowed to cut wood there, otherwise you might cut your leg with axe. About Mõime or Memmekõrva (Mamma´s ears) hill, old folk tell, that it was an ancient hiding place once and there lived an old woman, who was told to be witch. In Middle Ages, when there was witch hunt, they cut the ears of this old woman
Cache is no farther from the witch´s ear, than her lenght. Please, DO NOT put earrings to the ear or touch it in any way. If you manage to find second ear from the hill, please let us know.

Vahastu linnamägi on Türi kihelkonna kõige kõrgem mägi. Legendid räägivad, et seal asunud vanal ajal linn. Vahastu külas asub kirik, mille ümber olnud männitukk. Legend räägib, et see olnud rahva kogunemise koht. Mitte keegi ei olevat tohtinud seal puid raiuda, muidu lööb kirvega jalga. Vahastus asuva Mõime ehk Memmekõrva mäe kohta räägib rahvasuu, et see olnud kunagi rahvale vana pelgupaik ja seal elanud üks nõiaks peetud vana memm. Keskajal, kui nõiajahti peeti, lõigatud sel memmel kõrvad ära.
